When to Use This Yellow Wool Cutting Pad
This pad is typically the first paint-correction step after sanding. It’s also the first step in a multiple-step correction process to remove or level deep swirls, scratches, water spots, and oxidation. For heavy 1200-grit wet-sanding marks, pair this pad with 3D AAT 501 Cutting Compound, then follow with AAT 502 Finishing Polish. Whatever compound you use with it, always follow a wool-pad step with a foam-pad step afterward — that clears any holograms left behind by the wool fibers.
