How 3D SPEED Works

3D SPEED All in One Polish and Wax Compound pairs a fine ceramic alumina abrasive with Montan wax. The abrasive cuts light to moderate defects and refines the finish as you work, while the Montan wax stays behind on the paint, so there’s no separate waxing step at the end. The wax darkens the color and builds depth for a rich, wet-look shine. It doesn’t dust, it stays workable on the panel instead of drying out mid-pass, and it wipes off clean. SPEED works on clear coat and single-stage paint, and it also cleans up gelcoat, plastic trim, and light water spotting on glass.

How to Use 3D SPEED All in One Polish and Wax Compound

1. Start on a clean, cool, decontaminated surface. Wash the car and clay the paint first with a Source Chemical Gray Medium Clay Bar.
2. Pick your foam pad by the defect: the 3D 6.5″ Light Purple Spider-Cut Polishing Pad for light to moderate swirls, or the 3D 6.5″ Black Spider Finishing Pad for light haze and top gloss. Use foam pads only with SPEED.
3. Put 4 to 5 dime-size drops on the pad and spread them at low speed over a 2′ x 2′ section.
4. Turn the DA polisher up to medium-high speed (on a rotary, keep it at 800 to 1,000 RPM) and work slow, overlapping passes with light to medium pressure. The slower you move, the more correction you get.
5. Let it haze slightly, then wipe it off with a clean 3D Yellow Edgeless 400 GSM Microfiber Towel.
