3D ONE Hybrid Compound and Polish
3D ONE is a hybrid cutting compound and finishing polish in one bottle, made for detailers who are tired of switching products halfway through a paint correction job. It cuts swirls and scratches like a compound, then finishes down to a clear, high-gloss shine like a polish. The pad you pick sets the cut, not the bottle. 3D ONE comes in 8 oz, 16 oz, 32 oz, and 1-gallon sizes.
How 3D ONE Works
3D ONE is built on 3D’s nano ceramic alumina abrasives. The alumina does the cutting, while the ceramic helps keep surface heat down, so there’s less risk of burning through the paint. It’s water-based and silicone-free, with zero crystalline silica. The product stays wet while you work, so it doesn’t dry up and powder all over the car, and the residue wipes off clean.
Because the cut comes from the pad, you work your way down through pads instead of changing compounds. A cutting pad on a rotary takes out heavier defects, and a polishing pad on a DA finishes it out with the same bottle.

How to Use 3D ONE Hybrid Compound and Polish
- Shake well.
- Put 4 to 5 dime-size drops of 3D ONE on a 3D foam or Spider-Cut pad, such as the 3D 6.5″ Dark Purple Spider-Cut Foam Cutting Pad.
- Work a 2′ x 2′ section at a time with slow, overlapping back-and-forth passes.
- For light correction, one pass may be all you need.
- For deeper correction, follow up with 4 to 5 drops of 3D ONE on a Spider-Cut finishing pad, such as the 3D 6.5″ Light Purple Spider-Cut Foam Polishing Pad. Use the same motion and keep the pad flat to the surface.
- Wipe away the residue with a clean microfiber towel.
3D ONE as a One-Step or 2-Step
For most swirls and light to moderate scratches, 3D ONE does the job in one step with one foam pad. Don’t use a wool pad when you run 3D ONE as a one-step. For deeper defects, run it as a 2-step: a cutting pad first, then a finishing pad, with 3D ONE in both steps. Use a rotary with a cutting pad for heavier correction, or a DA with a softer pad for a fine finish. For deeper scratches, use a heavier-cut compound first.
