Description
Brake dust cakes onto the inside of a wheel barrel faster than almost anywhere else on a car, and most brushes are either too short or too large in diameter to fit past the wheel spokes. This one’s built for that specific problem: a 17-inch flexible wire core wrapped in natural Tampico bristles, long enough to reach past the spokes and into the barrel without pulling the wheel.
The twisted-wire core bends around spokes and lug nuts instead of stopping at them, so you can work the bristles into tight gaps on wire wheels, multi-spoke alloys, and factory rims alike. Tampico fiber is stiff enough to break up dried brake dust and road grime but won’t scratch clear coat or chrome when used with a wheel cleaner or soapy water — no wire or nylon bristles here.

How to use it
Spray your wheel cleaner or a soapy water mix into the barrel first, then work the brush behind the spokes in a scrubbing motion — get in there from a few angles, since the flexible core bends without you having to remove the wheel. Rinse it off before the cleaner dries, especially if the brake dust buildup is heavy. Weekly or biweekly is usually enough to keep on top of it.

Will it scratch my wheels? No — Tampico is a natural plant fiber, softer than a wire brush, and safe on clear-coated alloys and chrome when used with a cleaner or soap for lubrication.
