It happens, we all make our mistakes. Especially with newer cars being so low to the ground and the the front lower bumpers spoiler and splitters are always getting damaged
Keeping the car looking new and at its best is what we do. Some times the damage is small like in this case. It was not in the best to remove the front bumper when are we wells and under plate and the cost would be triple as much.
In this case we got a fact color match pack. This Tesla S is a Pearl white. This means its a 3 stage color paint.
- Coat I is the Base Color ( White ) As many coats to cover and get a sold base color
- Coat 2 is a Med Coat ( translucent Silver Grey Pearl )
This may be up to 4 coats to achieve to desired color combination of the base pearl. This is the trickiest part of the whole paint job. - Coat 3 is the Clear Coat ( Two Coats )

Primer to seal the repair and flatten the repair even more by sanding everything to feathered out.
( it usually takes 1 to 2 coats of primer. Sometimes a 3rd coat is required if the defects are still visible. )
back taping to keep a soft line from the new paint into the old paint so it can be buff out

Time to test out some paint colors to make sure we have exactly the right mix. These test panels where. sprayed with the same primer sealer that I was using on the car
And there you have it, good as new.
