For as long as I can remember. I was able to buy the original Water Sprite which is more than 30 years and never did I see a shortage of the product as we all saw in 2021 and 2022. First, we were told it was discontinued because the raw materials were not available, and some months after we were told that sometime in the future when one of the chemicals to make the original WATER SPRITE was available the original WATER SPRITE would be back in the market but no date as to when it will be back.

So Hot Wax Garage looked at all the new products that SM Arnold put out and from all of them, SpeedyDrier was the product we went with. As you can imagine this did not go well with a lot of detailers this was one of the main tools used to dry a vehicle, trailer, and watercraft. Many detailers had to retrain themselves and figure out this new product. I kept in touch with a lot of buyers for feedback on the new SPEEDYDRIER and just as I thought if they gave it a chance and let go through the break in the period the SPEEDYDRIER worked fine. Most sellers will not talk about this break-in period in fact in over 30 years of detailing no one has mentioned this break-in period but if you ask any professional detailer they will agree that it exists. I want to make a point about the break-in of any PVA TOWEL because if you are new to detailing most likely no one has told you about this, and a lot of professionals did not give the SPEEDYDRIER a chance to break in and started to complain, and some loved it. The good news is that it does work so let’s find out which one works for you remember everyone has a different way of drying a surface so what works for someone may not work for you

Here are important facts that anyone buying these products needs to understand.

There is a brake in a period where any Water Sprite needs to be broken in. If you want to speed up the process throw the new Water Sprite in the washing machine for a few wash cycles make sure you are not using bleach or hot water

The bigger the Water Sprite the harder it is to drag across the surface of the car. Try to fold it. If the car surface has no wax, sealant of coating on it the. WATER SPRITE may drag even more. So here are some tricks. You can also try to roll it and use it like a wall squeegeeing the main water off and coming back over it with a small Water Sprite or microfiber towel to pick up the little water that is left. You Can also lightly spray some watered-down Quick Detailer or watered-down clay lube make sure you test this first. Direct Sun is not recommended for any kind of car care. Chemicals react to the heat differently,  water evaporates faster and can create water spots so always avoid detailing and washing cars in the hot sun.

Bigger is not always better. Make a small investment and find out which one works for you. You will be happy once you find the best size and the best product in the SM Arnold Water Sprite( the original or Speedydrier ) that works for you and the vehicle you are working on. This is also a good idea a commercial car wash and detail shops. There are so many areas that you can use the Water Sprite so if you bought the Water sprite SpeedyDrier and you like it more than the original Water Sprite you can always use the extra Water Sprite in the shop or at home for cleaning and drying countertops and all kinds of surfaces including glass.

You and easily keep it in the trunk of a car or the glove box and not worry about it getting dry or tangled up in the trunk or wherever you store your WATER SPRITE.
