VW 65mm Wheel Center Caps or 56mm: Which Size Do You Need?

Volkswagen used more than one center cap size. These VW 65mm wheel center caps measure 65mm (2.5″) across the front face. The part number on the back of your old cap is another quick way to confirm. If your caps measure 56mm (2.2″), see our VW 56mm wheel center caps instead.

How to Install VW 65mm Wheel Center Caps

1. Pry the old cap out gently from the edge with a plastic trim tool so you don’t scratch the wheel.
2. Wipe the center opening clean with a microfiber towel.
3. Line up the clips with the opening.
4. Press the cap in by hand until it snaps into place.

All four VW 65mm wheel center caps go in within a few minutes, and the new caps need no tools or adhesive.

Keep Your VW 65mm Wheel Center Caps Looking Clean

Brake dust builds up around the center of the wheel fast. On wash day, rinse the caps first, then dry them with a soft microfiber towel. A full set of VW 65mm wheel center caps also keeps every wheel matched, so one new cap doesn’t stand out next to three old ones.
