The rechargeable under hood work light stretches across the open hood and shines 1200 lumens straight down on the engine bay, so both hands stay on the job. How to Set Up Your Under Hood Work Light

Open the hood and pull the holder out until both foam-padded U-shaped ends reach the edges of the hood, then let them clamp on. Turn the light on with the switch on either handle, and pick high or low depending on how much light the job needs.

When the holder won’t fit, snap the light out and stick it to the frame, a lift, a toolbox, or any other steel surface with its rotating magnets. Turn it until the light lands right where you’re working.

Charge it with the wall charger at the end of the day, or plug the 12V car charger into a vehicle when you’re working away from the shop. A full charge gives you up to 4.5 hours on high or 8.5 hours on low, so the under hood work light lasts through most jobs on one charge.
