Description
SM Arnold Water Sprite WS50 Synthetic Chamois PVA Drying Towel 720 Sq In
Water spots form fast when a freshly washed car sits wet in the sun or wind. The SM Arnold Water Sprite WS50 synthetic chamois is how a lot of detailers stay ahead of them: one slow pass pulls the water off paint and glass, so there’s nothing left behind to dry into spots. The WS50 gives you 720 square inches (5 sq ft) of drying surface, and you can buy it one at a time or by the case of 24.
This synthetic chamois has been a proven performer for decades. Car washes and dealership lots keep it on hand as an essential drying tool, and it’s still the go-to for detail crews who dry cars all day.
How the Water Sprite WS50 Synthetic Chamois Works
Water Sprite is made of PVA, a man-made material that soaks up water and wrings out easily. It doesn’t come wet in the package, so wet it and wring it out before you start. Once it’s damp, it’s ready to use right away, with no long soak. It resists mildew, bacteria, and common household chemicals, so it won’t break down or hold odors after repeated use.
What makes this one worth keeping in the garage:
- 720 sq in (5 sq ft) of PVA drying surface
- Pulls water off paint and glass in a single pass
- Lifts off residual dirt and grime as it dries, leaving the surface clean and dry
- Made in Holland (Netherlands)
- Ready to use as soon as it’s wet; no long soak time
- Wrings out easily, so you can keep drying panel after panel
- Resists mildew, bacteria, and common household chemicals
- Machine washable in cold water whenever it needs a cleaning
- Sold single or by the case of 24 for shops and car washes
Why a Synthetic Chamois Instead of a Stack of Towels?
Towels get heavy and soaked halfway through a car, and then you’re grabbing another one. The SM Arnold Water Sprite WS50 synthetic chamois holds a lot of water for its size and wrings out in seconds, so one chamois can dry the whole car. It also rinses clean and packs away small, which makes it handy for mobile detailers and car washes.
How to Dry Your Car With the Water Sprite WS50 Synthetic Chamois
Wash the car with a pH-balanced soap like 3D SiO2 Ceramic Wash Soap, then give it a final rinse. Wet the Water Sprite WS50 synthetic chamois, wring it out, and lay it flat on the roof. Pull it toward you slowly so it soaks up the water as it moves. On a clean, damp panel, that same pull also lifts off any residual dirt and grime the rinse missed. When it starts leaving water behind, wring it out and keep going.
Work from the top down: roof, glass, hood, and trunk, then the sides. Save the lower panels and rocker panels for last, since they carry the most grit. Dry in the shade when you can; on a hot panel, water spots can set before you get to them.
After each car, rinse the loose dirt and grime out of it with clean, cold water (never hot). Between jobs, keep it in a resealable bag while it’s still damp. If it dries out completely, it gets stiff, so wet it again before the next use.
